La Plazita Preschool in collaboration with Bridge Housing is very excited to bring a brand new Infant and Preschool Center to Marea Alta. The brand new center is located directly across the street from San leandro Bart Station making it extremely accesible to commuters.

La Plazita San Leandro will have all of the same curriculum which is full Spanish immerion and fully prepares children for kindergarten. Deposits are now being received to enroll in this center. See below on email and info needed.

Florentina Pablo Carrillo was born in Guatemala and speaks Spanish, Mam, and English. She has completed 15 units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework.This is Florentina’s first time working with children, and although it was challenging at first, it has become a beautiful and rewarding experience. She enjoys seeing how each child has unique skills and curiosity as they grow and learn. Every day, she finds more joy in working with the children at La Plazita and dedicates her love and care to each one of them.In her free time, Florentina goes to the gym three times a week and spends quality time with her children at home. She also enjoys listening to music, dancing, and doing Zumba.


Rocio Guevara was born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and speaks Spanish fluently. Rocio has completed several Early Childhood Education (ECE) courses, including ECE 56, 62, 63, and 79.She has over three years of experience working in early education centers. Her first year was at Plazita 35th, where she received training in a warm and professional environment under the guidance of respectful, patient, and kind teachers. This experience led to an opportunity to become a lead teacher at another La Plazita location.Rocio is passionate about working with children because she values being part of their foundational development. She finds great satisfaction in helping each child navigate developmental challenges and reach their goals, knowing it contributes to the future of her community.In her free time, Rocio enjoys studying the Bible, swimming, and spending time with her family exploring nature. She takes pride in giving her best effort to support the well-being of each child and family, always striving to meet their individual needs. Rocio is proud of her culture and loves learning about others as well.
Rocio Guerrero was born in Palo Alto, California. She graduated from Iona University with a BA and spent five years living in New York, where she began her career interning at STARS Physical Therapy and Equinox. She later discovered her passion for early childhood education and spent six years teaching in Montessori schools, a philosophy she deeply values and practices at home. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and is joyful in being the Administrative Director at La Plazita San Leandro Blvd, where she has proudly worked since 2022. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her 2 children and also with her 3 sisters. She also loves going to baseball games.


Glenda Cleban was born in Nicaragua. She has completed 15 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE), and this is her first job working with children. Glenda loves working with kids because she feels inspired by their energy and creativity. She enjoys supporting their development and knowing that she can contribute something positive to their growth.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, doing outdoor activities, listening to music, and learning new things. Glenda considers herself a responsible, empathetic person with a strong desire to keep learning. She also has a background in healthcare, having worked as a nurse in her home country for many years, which gives her added confidence in her daily work.
Janet Martinez was born in Mexico and has always had a deep passion for working with children. She has completed four classes in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and brings with her valuable experience working with children and families. Janet enjoys learning from each child’s development and needs, as well as building strong connections with fellow staff members.
Her love for working with children began at a young age—she’s always loved playing with and caring for kids. Each child brings meaning to her life, and she finds joy in exploring their growth.
In her free time, Janet enjoys running, playing with her children, going to the movies, reading, and watching motivational videos and marathon content—one of her goals is to complete a 21K race someday.
She describes herself as a strong and courageous woman. As a single mother, she moved to a new country with her two young children without knowing the language. Despite the challenges, she has continued to persevere and accomplish her goals. With faith and determination, Janet keeps moving forward, guided by her desire to provide a successful and meaningful life for her children.


Reyna Idalia Corrales Beltrán was born in Nicaragua and brings a deep passion for education and child development. She has completed one course in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and has valuable experience working in various educational settings, including as a Bilingual Instructional Aide at Crenshaw Elementary School, a substitute teacher at Escuela Adelita Sorto, and an English teacher at a language center.
Reyna finds joy in working with children because it lifts her spirit and soul. She loves teaching and contributing to each child’s personal and educational growth.
In her free time, she enjoys exercising, singing, and spending quality time with her family. Reyna describes herself as a highly committed educator who is always open to learning and improving. She learns quickly, enjoys sharing her knowledge with others, and is always ready to offer a helping hand. Dedicated to personal and professional growth, she embraces change and is continually working to strengthen her skills as an educator.
